Study on visible light communication system aiming for hands-free conversation between divers

(in English) We propose an underwater visible LED light communication system that enables divers to make a hands-free
conversation. Two optical transceivers attached to a diver’s helmet can emit light in front and back directions, respectively. Such a site diversity helps to improve its transmission quality and to reduce the range of angles necessary to control the motors.
By assigning the optical transceivers on the surface of the optical repeater equally to divers, and demodulating by heterodyne technique, we mode it cleared that plural divers can communicate simultaneously via the optical repeater.
