Evaluation of SAR and reflection coefficient based on the position between folded dipole antenna and a planar reflector at 1.2 GHz band

(in English) The antennas builted in the mobile communication terminal are used near the human body. The presence of the human body considerably alters the characteristics of the antenna. Thus, the interaction between the antenna and human body must be considered. Since the radiation power of the portable amateur radio station is relatively higher than that of the smartphone, it is important to calculate the SAR value. In this report, we applied the folded dipole antenna with reflector to the handy transceiver at 1.2 GHz band, and investigated various characteristics of the antenna and SAR by using FDTD method and measurement.
