Analysis of TV Viewing Conditions at Home

(in English) The TV viewing distance at home is analyzed with its surrounding conditions. Although it was based on questionnaire survey, it was possible to collect a lot of highly reliable data at a considerably cheaper cost and a shorter period than the field survey by devising the method. As a result, the relative viewing distance is around 5H (screen height) which is near 1H shorter than before. It is because TV size at home is becoming bigger despite that the room size has not changed. Also, the viewing distance is closer than the average if TV viewing is concentrated consciously or the interactive services are frequently used.
