Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) displays have been playing important roles to interact with image information in virtual reality and tele-presence systems. Most of the force display systems are featured with large dimensions and complicated mechanism. Simple force displays are also desired for various application. In this study, we have been focused on force-like sensation. This sensation is elicited by vibratory stimulation onto fingertips, although no forces are applied. This phenomenon will be applied to simple force displays. In this report, subjective magnitudes of the sensation, prospects of sensory mechanism from H-reflex measurement and operating performances of a depressible button interface as an application, are described.
