Automatic Analysis for fielding of Baseball infielder by using HighSpeedCamera

(in English) High speed cameras are commonly used for analyzing and visualizing actions of sports players in detail, since those are often too quick for the naked eyes to follow. In this study, we propose a technique to analyze the fielding actions of baseball infielders by using a high speed camera; given a high speed video of an infielder, our system automatically estimates the time from catching to throwing the ball, the footprint during fielding, and the speed of the thrown ball. To illustrate the feasibility of our technique, we analyzed fielding actions of multiple fielders. As results, we confirmed that our technique was able to estimate the time during fielding and visualize a difference in footprints between fielders.
