SNR Calculation for Phase Multi-level Holographic Data Storage System

(in English) We are developing an angular multiplexing holographic data storage system as a next-generation optical disc capable of high density recording of 1 TB/disc or more. So far, we have developed a phase multi-level recording system that achieves doubled recording density as compared to conventional intensity-binary-recording system. In this study, we investigated a method to calculate the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) from the reproduced signal and evaluated the reproduced signal. In addition, we discussed the problem of the phase multi-level recording that clarified by the SNR calculation.
