Multicast Converted Distribution for Live HTTP Streaming Video

(in English) In recent years, video streaming services using the HTTP streaming method have become widespread. HTTP streaming supports both VoD-type and live-type distribution, but in live-type distribution, traffic tends to burst, and server and network load must be reduced and optimized. In this report, we propose a method for multicast converted transmission of live HTTP streaming video just in a network. In addition, the traffic reduction effect was studied based on the number of ports on the network equipment under the condition of the estimated traffic to 2030. We also report the results of evaluating the implemented sequence and the stack for multicast packets, and the implemented system in an environment with a 30Mbps video stream and 16 viewing terminals.
