[Poster Presentation] New sulfide phosphors able to be grown on silicon wafer

(in English) New green phosphor SrZnSiS4:Eu2+ is reported. It has an orthorhombic structure with a space group of Fddd (no.70). Absorption of the 4f7-5d14f6 transition of Eu2+ appears in the region between 300 and 480 nm, and luminescence occurs at 500 nm from the phosphor powder. The full width at half maximum is 44 nm, and the internal quantum efficiency is 31%. The intensity of photoluminescence at 200oC is preserved as 66% of that at 20oC. The SrZnSiS4:Eu2+ layer is synthesized on a silicon substrate through atomic exchange of silicon under sulfur vapor atmosphere. The green photoluminescence and cathodeluminescence which are the same as that from the powder are obtained from the layer. Si2SiS4:Eu2+,Nd3+ phosphor powder having a space group of P21/m (no.11) shows green afterglow longer than 1000 s. Excitation-wavelength dependence of the afterglow is carefully studied.
