[Poster Presentation] Influence of Bi codoping to excitation characteristics in tetragonal Mg2TiO4:Mn4+ deep red phosphors

(in English) In this study, the Bi3+ codoping to Mg2TiO4:Mn4+ has been attempted. In addition, a low temperature annealing at 625°C for 24 hours is also performed to cause a phase transition from cubic to tetragonal, resulting in further improvement of the photoluminescence (PL) intensity. The effects of the Bi-codoping and the low-temperature-annealing to light absorption and PL excitation has investigated. The PL intensity of the synthesized tetragonal Mg1.994Ti0.997O4: 0.3% Mn4+, 0.3% Bi3+, 0.3% Li+ is increased twice compared with the cubic Mg2TiO4:Mn4+. The light absorption especially between near-uv and visible wavelength region is also increased by Bi3+-doping, which gives rise to effectively improve the Mn4+ PL intensity.
