A Study on Identification of a Winter Road Surface State in Highway Based on Machine Learning Using In-vehicle Camera Images.

(in English) In this paper, we propose a method to discriminate the road surface condition of the expressway for the winter season. The in-vehicle camera videos which are targets of this paper are captured from actual driving cars. In the proposed method, a novel model is constructed with actual images, it discriminates the road surface condition in six types by using a hierarchical discriminator which discriminates the road surface condition based on Mobile Nets. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method about discriminate the road surface condition in the expressway is verified by using images captured by in-vehicle cameras.
