Pre-Stimuli: Accelerating Human Reaction in Virtual Reality Using EMS

(in English) This work proposes Pre-Stimuli, a force-feedback approach to accelerate human reaction and maintain a sense of user control using electric muscle stimulation in virtual reality. The proposed system utilizes preemptive action approach in applications of virtual reality. The proposed system stimulates the user at an appropriate time before the user responds, so that the user can complete the action through the electric muscle stimulation. This approach can improve the user's reaction speed while maintaining a sense of user control. We combine the proposed Pre-Stimuli with different feedbacks. It is verified that this approach has positive effects on immersion in VR.
