Smart Layer Splitter: An Automatic Layer Splitting System for Coloring Process of Creating Digital Illustration

(in English) In the color painting process, which is one process of digital illustration production, it is necessary to split the line drawing into layers for each part such as hair and skin. This process doing by the painting tool attached to the paint tool. But this is requiring a lot of manual work. Therefore, in this paper, for the purpose of automating this work, a method of automatically converting line drawings into layered images by using pix2pix, which is an implementation of conditional GAN.
