Representation of stretch, pieces and their transitions in real-time rendering of flames

(in English) Real-time expression of flame is used in various contents such as games. However, there is no method capable of sufficiently expressing the appearance of the flame stretching and the pieces of the flame when the heat source moves. Therefore, in the method of this research, the movement of the flame was expressed through analysis from the actual movie. As a method, a specific rule is given to a method of generating a particle effect. In addition, the polygon vertices of the particle texture were stretched toward other particles, and the alpha values and screen brightness values were processed to express details. As a result, while maintaining sufficient real-time capability, the appearance that the flame stretches and becomes pieces could be expressed.
