The scheme that combines ISDB-T(Integrated Service Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial) and LDM(Layered Division Multiplexing) has been proposed as the way to shift to the next-generation DTTB(Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting)． In this paper，the performance is evaluated by computer simulations when LDM was applied to the data and pilot symbols．From the results of simulations the required CNR(Carrier to Noise Ratio) of the lower layer can be improved at low rates，although the accuracy of channel estimation deteriorates due to applying LDM to the pilot symbols． |
