We are conducting research on an advanced digital terrestrial broadcasting system (advanced system) to realize 4K 8K broadcasting services by terrestrial broadcasting. An advanced ISDB-T inherits segmented structure of ISDB-T that enables hierarchical transmission. Therefore, an advanced ISDB-T can provide services for mobile reception and fixed reception within one channel simultaneously. In addition, a new signal frame structure was applied to increase transmission capacity and flexibility. This paper describes mobile reception performance of an advanced ISDB-T by computer simulation. By selecting the optimal combination of carrier modulation and LDPC coding rate, required C/N is better than 3 dB by ISDB-T. The optimal combination of carrier modulation and LDPC coding rate is similar trend for the computer simulation and field trials. |
