Estimation of vibration component in outdoor image captured by in-vehicle line sensor

(in English) A method for estimating and correcting the vibration component in outdoor image captured by vertically installed in-vehicle line sensor is proposed. When outdoor image is captured with a line sensor while moving, vibration of a vehicle or equipment during moving causes periodical shifts in the image. Vertical shifts between every adjacent line are estimated using phase-only correlation technique which can estimate the parallel shift between two images in sub-pixel precision. Then, using the estimated shift-values, vibration component in the image is estimated using 1-dimensional discrete Fourier transformation and linear regression technique. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed by experiments with images taken by vertically installed in-vehicle line sensor.
