Resolution measurements of light field display using virtual image mode.

(in English) We proposed the light field display using the virtual imaging mode to enlarge the viewing zone. While divergence of rays is limited by the aperture array, the divergence of rays is still larger comparted to the infinite imaging mode. When eyes focus on a display screen, rays converging to one point in the space are observed from plural lenses because of the spatial sampling of the elementary images by the pixel structure. When eyes focus on three-dimensional images, rays are blurred depending on the pixel size. In this study, we measure the resolutions of the light field display using the virtual imaging mode.
