Evaluation of retinal images of visual-fatigue reduced head-mounted display using aspherical phase plates

(in English) We have previously proposed the head-mounted display (HMD) using aspherical phase plates to enhance depth of field (DOF) to reduce the visual fatigue. The aspherical phase plates enlarge the depth positions of virtual images of the HMD to facilitate accommodation variation so that the corresponding vergence for the comfortable observation of three-dimensional images is enlarged. Therefore, the visual fatigue can be reduced by adding the aspherical phase plates to the HMD. To verify the effect of the aspherical phase plates on the DOF enhancement, we evaluated the range of focus of the eye by capturing retinal images of eyes.
