Analysis of noting behaviors by students in video lectures (Fourth report)

(in English) In real-time lectures as well as face-to-face lectures, it is important for lectures to grasp the behaviors of taking notes of students. In this report, we analyze the behaviors of taking notes of students in video lectures assuming real-time lectures. Concretely, we evaluate the similarity between the behaviors (watching the video and looking at the note) corresponding to the behaviors (writing on a blackboard and explaining) of lecturers. By evaluating the similarity between the behaviors of students, it is possible to grasp the comprehensive learning situation of the students. First, we detect the behaviors of lecturers and students by image processing. Next, we evaluate the following similarities; (i) based on the correlation between the behaviors of students, and (ii) based on the time-series models for the behaviors of students.
