Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Neurorehabilitation researches, which aims to recover from brain dysfunction, has attracted attention as a method to efficiently reconstruct neural circuits. The most common approach of current neurohabilitation is for brain function related to motor function, and only a few approaches to cognitive function are used. Of all the cognitive functions, since the decline in sustained attention decreases the quality of life, there is a need for rehabilitation to improve the maintenance of focul attention. In this study, we investigated the estimation method of the responsible area for attention maintenance by fNIRS measurement to develop a neurorehabilitation method for attentional functions. A task for controlling attention was proposed, and the effects of attention maintenance and attention interruption were confirmed based on the evaluation of response time. The fNIRS signals measured during this task were then analyzed. As a result, although there were large individual differences, we confirmed the regions related to attention maintenance in each subject.
