Research on game-like quality of TRPG using VR technology

In recent years, contents using 3D technologies have become common in TV, movies, and games. Furthermore, with the attention of HMDs such as OculusQuest and PlayStationVR, various genres of games and VR technology are combined. On the other hand, there are few examples of VR technology adapted to TRPGs, and it is not a common genre of VR games. However, it is expected that the use of VR technologies in TRPGs will make traditional TRPGs even more enjoyable.
Therefore, in this study, through evaluation experiments of a Cthulhu Mythos TRPG with VR technology, a traditional face-to-face gathering TRPG, and an online TRPG, I will examine which is the most game-like and discuss the effect of VR on the fun. |
