Transmission Performance Evaluation of advanced ISDB-T under Co-channel Interference Environments

(in English) We have been developing an advanced ISDB-T(Integrated Systems Digital Broadcasting - Terrestrial) to realize UHDTV services via terrestrial broadcasting. At link budget of current terrestrial broadcasting, the required field strength is determined by assuming deterioration due to multipath and co-channel interference as a margin. It is necessary to show that the link budget of an advanced ISDB-T can be designed with a margin equal to that of current terrestrial broadcasting, in case migrating with the same transmission conditions as the current terrestrial broadcasting. We evaluated the transmission performance of an advanced ISDB-T under the co-channel interference environment by computer simulation. This report shows parameters of an advanced ISDB-T which can satisfy margin and protection ratio of the current terrestrial broadcasting.
