Carried Object Detection using Body Structure
Yoshiki Nakajima, Eiji Kamioka, Phan Xuan Tan (SIT)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Carried object detection is a method of detecting personal belongings from a system of people and things in an image or a video. The main procedure is to first estimate the area of only a person and compare it with the whole system to detect belongings. However, with the existing method, it is difficult to accurately estimate the human body region due to the posture of the person, physical individual differences, and the distance between the camera and the person. Therefore, in order to create a more accurate human area, we proposed a method to create it based on skeletal information, body characteristics, and human body structure, and verified the improvement in the accuracy of belongings detection.
