A Study on ICI Canceller for MIMO-OFDM Mobile Reception

(in English) The MIMO-OFDM technology is used in LTE and mobile WiMAX. Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) is caused by the doppler shift when the OFDM signal is received by a mobile receiver. It is necessary to remove the ICI because the reception characteristics are deteriorated by the ICI. In order to remove ICI, an iterative demodulation type ICI canceller has been proposed to improve the reception characteristics by applying iterative demodulation to a computation-reduced MIMO-ICI canceller. In this paper, the reception characteristics of MIMO-OFDM in a mobile reception environment are evaluated by applying an iterative demodulation MIMO-ICI canceller, introducing BCH codes and LDPC codes, and varying the coding rate of LDPC codes.
