A Study on Channel Estimation Scheme for Dual-Polarized MIMO-OFDM

(in English) In the Japanese next-generation DTTB(Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting), a combination of dual-polarized MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) and OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) has been proposed. In this paper, the performance is evaluated by computer simulations when the number of time samples to be extracted and the extrapolation method is applied in the process of interpolation using FFT. From the results of simulations the required CNR(Carrier to Noise Ratio) be improved in a multipath environment with a long delay time by using proposed scheme.
