Spatial cross modulation (SCMM) can regenerate optical complex amplitudes by combining a single spatial light modulator with a random phase diffuser. By extracting the central region of the diffuse wavefront obtained in the virtual space, 3D super-resolution projection of optical complex amplitude can be realized by the single-lens spatial cross-modulation method. In this paper, we show the operating principle of the proposed method and examine the super-resolution display characteristics by numerical simulation. When an input image containing super-resolution components is given, the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of the reproduced 3D image is evaluated. |
