Adaptive Communication System Selection Method for V2X Using Wireless Environment Database

(in English) Recently, various systems for Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communication have been studied. However, it is difficult to estimate the radio environment accurately in V2I communication due to shadowing and fading and also the large cost and time are required to implement a new V2X system. These problems prevent spreading V2X. There is a research on hybrid communication using Wi-Fi and LTE for reducing the cost of implementation, but the decrease of Wi-Fi communication time due to the increase of Wi-Fi connection and authentication time is considered to be an issue. Therefore, in this study, we propose a method to reduce the connection and authentication time for Wi-Fi communication in the V2I environment and the adaptive communication system selection method using the radio environment database.
