Tracking System of Bowling Ball Based on Image Processing Using Multiple Cameras

(in English) This paper presents a tracking system of bowling ball trajectory for sports coaching. First, pitching form videos of the entire bowling lane and the area around the bowling pins are recorded using a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, and raspberry pi. Next, the ball position of each video is calculated based on image processing and projected to world coordinates based on homography transformation, respectively. Finally, by synthesizing the projected ball positions, ball trajectory is generated. Experimental results show that the proposed system realizes accurate ball trajectory generation.
