Switchable Dual Dial Method - Flick Character Input Method for VR

(in English) We propose the "Switchable Dual Dial method", a flick input method in a virtual space that uses two VR controllers. The proposed method is to flick the touchpad of one VR controller with a finger of one hand to input consonants. Then, by flicking the touch pad of the other VR controller with a finger of the other hand to select a vowel, one Japanese character is input. Since the above two operations can be performed almost at the same time, Japanese input can be performed accurately and at high speed. As a result of the experiment, we verified the possibility as a new Japanese character input method.
