Analysis and reduction of thermal noise at multi-conversion gain pixel input

(in English) An introduction of multiple conversion gain (MCG) to image sensor is one of the ways to enlarge dynamic range with single exposure. These image sensors change conversion gain (CG) by controlling a switch connected to a capacitor and the floating diffusion in a pixel. When reading out low CG signals, uncorrelated double sampling is sometimes carried out, and reset noise remains. In this paper, we present an analysis of thermal noise generated in the pixels, and a noise reduction method.
