Generation of Laguerre-Gaussian beam on equator of hybrid-order Poincare sphere by double-phase hologram

(in English) Light of a complex polarization state which is mapped on hybrid-order Poincare sphere can be generated by superposition of Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beams. However, intensity distribution of a LG beam along the radius direction depends on its orbital angular momentum. Then, it is difficult to superpose two LG beams with different orbital angular momenta by a phase-modulation-type spatial-light modulator (SLM). In this study, we control the intensity distribution of LG beams along the radius direction using a double-phase hologram which can modulate the complex amplitude of light reconstructed from a hologram by the phase-modulation-type SLM, and generate LG beams mapped on the equator of hybrid-order Poincare sphere.
