Predictive Coding of UHDTV using Local-Decoded Images with Different Degree of Blur in Each Coding Unit

(in English) Video coding efficiency is degrade in case of degree of blur is different between current picture and its reference picture, because degrade accuracy of intra and inter predictions. To improve the video coding efficiency in such case, I propose an advanced method of these predictions. The proposed method generates sharpened and blurred images of a local-decoded image in each coding unit of these predictions. These sharpened and blurred images are utilized for these predictions in addition conventionally used local-decoded image. These three images are selected according to the rate-distortion optimization processing in video codec. Experiments calculate the Bjøntegaard Delta-Rate by using videos with degree of blur different for intra and inter pictures. In consideration section, the experiment results are analyzed in detail for example selection ratio is calculated of the sharpened and blurred images in the proposed method.
