Interpersonal communication through avatars in virtual space, as typified by the metaverse, is expected to be dissimilar in various respects to face-to-face communication between physical people. However, the differences and causes have not been clarified. In this study, we focused on a sales situation and conducted an experiment to investigate the effects of face-to-face communication, VR avatars, and web conferencing tools, and evaluated the characteristics of each communication form. |
