Remote Robot Operation by Two Users with Force Feedback -- Comparison with One User Operation --

(in English) This report deals with two types of operations in which an object is carried together by two remote robot systems with force feedback. One user operates a robot in one type, and two users does the robot in the other type. Each user manipulates a haptic interface device to operate the robot. By carrying out an experiment of carrying an object together, we make a comparison between the two types. In the two users operation, we set the force which each user can feel to almost the same value as that in the one user operation. By experiment, we clarify the optimum ratio of reaction force to the force applied to the object in the two users operation. Experimental results demonstrate that the two users operation outperforms the one user operation in terms of the force applied to the object.
