Fast designing method of additional patterns in self-referential holographic data storage -- Approach using deep neural network --

(in English) In self-referential holographic data storage (SR-HDS) known as a purely one-beam holographic recording method, it has been clarified that the quality of reconstructed signal patterns (SPs) can be improved by appropriately designing patterns which is referred to as additional pattern (AP). So far, APs have been designed based on local search algorithms such as hill climbing (HC) method. Although it contributes to improve reconstruction quality of SPs, it takes a long time for designing. In this study, we propose a new AP designing method which enables to instantly obtain the designed AP for an arbitrary SP by using a deep neural network learned using pairs of SP and the designed AP using HC method.
