Development and implementation of node graph drawing algorithm for digital compositing process

(in English) Node-based visual programming has become popular in recent years and is used in a wide range of applications from video production to the development of embedded systems for automobiles. To improve the readability of node graphs, time and effort are required to devise the arrangement of nodes. In this study, we developed a node graph drawing algorithm suitable for describing digital compositing process in node-based visual programming. The node graph drawing algorithm is mainly based on force directed algorithms. A prototype system that imitates the node editor of the video editing software "Davinci Resolve" was created, and the effectiveness of the proposed method was examined using this system.
