Whale Breaching Animation Production Method Based on Motion Analysis
Shota Kato, Motonobu Kawashima, Daichi Hayakawa (TUT)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In CG based video and game content works, breaching animations of aquatic creatures jumping out of water can be seen. To create such animations, it is necessary to investigate and understand the actual behavior of sharks and whale. Therefore, it takes a great deal of time to create these animations. In this study we investigate the characteristics of the
breaching behavior of whales and propose a breaching animation production method that can be used efficiently based on the results.
