Reservoir arithmetic elements, which are expected to be used as lighter-task AI hardware systems, were fabricated in random networks of various nanomaterials (material reservoir) and their performance was compared. Benchmark tasks used were waveform generation, memory capacity, and speech recognition. The pressure sensor was fabricated with a nanomaterial sponge structure, and since it has a random structure of nanomaterials inside, it can be directly mounted on a robot hand as a reservoir device (in-sensor computing device). The device successfully classified nine types of different grasped objects. The result is expected to lead to the realization of low power consumption AI systems. |
