In this report, we proposed an image recognition system to support visually impaired people to find socks or towels. Several linear and nonlinear image filters were applied to images obtained by a digital camera to generate feature images, which were fed into CNN to recognize socks and towels. This multi-channelization technique was used with CNN in the experiments. The recognition accuracy was evaluated by the macro-F measure. |
