Evaluation of Object Detection Accuracy for DCG CMOS Image Sensor with 4T Pixel Structure

(in English) Our research group has proposed a high dynamic range DCG CMOS image sensors based on 4T pixel for sensing applications. However, it is supposed that the nonlinear output response for the high-luminance signal results in degradation of the object detection accuracy. In this report, we simulated the nonlinear output response to generate the 4T-DCG image dataset and to evaluate the object detection accuracy with YOLOv7.Besides, to confirm the effect of degraded color reproducibility due to the nonlinear response to object detection, we also generate 4T-DCG images using simple combination of HCG signal and LCG signal captured with conventional 4T pixel image sensor. The results showed that the Object featured by color can be also detected with histogram equalization.
