Performance Evaluation of Reservoir Computing Based MIMO-OFDM Detection with Precoders

(in English) In this paper, we investigate a MIMO-OFDM symbol detection based on reservoir computing (RC), which is a special type of recurrent neural network. It is known that RC provides excellent performance with a limited amount of training set. In this study, we compare the detection characteristics of an RC-based MIMO-OFDM symbol detection system using Walsh Hadamard and Zadoff-Chu matrices as precoders in addition to DFT spread matrix. Simulation results show that the RC-based detector with the Zadoff-Chu matrix achieves superior bit error rate (BER) performance in high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region. Although the RC-based detector with the Walsh Hadamard matrix is effective within a certain SNR range, its BER performance degrades in high SNR region.
