Automated Generation of Brain Training Quizzes Based on Quiz Takers' Preferences

Group recreation has been suggested to help prevent dementia and alleviate its symptoms, leading to the use of brain-training quizzes in nursing and rehabilitation facilities. In group recreation, however, reusing the same quizzes repeatedly can be undesirable, and since participants have different interests and knowledge, it becomes necessary to prepare quizzes from various fields and with different levels of difficulty. This study aims to develop an application that automatically generates quizzes reflecting user preferences. Two prototypes were created: one with direct preference input, and one using interactive preference reflection. User evaluations showed mixed results between those who preferred interaction and those who found it cumbersome. It was also suggested that improving quiz progression could enhance the evaluation of the interactive version. |
