Interactive Method for Determining Projection Function to Fit 3D Object to Background Image

Recently, 3D models have frequently been composed into hand-drawn background paintings to create scenes. The composition would be consistent if a 3D model could be projected using a geometric projection function that corresponds to the projection used in the background painting. Our projection function extends the Generalized Projection for Yamato-e and Ukiyo-e to allow interpretation against view images with elevation and depression angles. We also introduce a user interface to estimate the constants in the function interactively. |
