In this study, we propose a method for generating 3D hair models from sketches. One approach to 3D modeling from a single real-world image is a deep learning-based method that reconstructs 3D hair using a strand map, which represents hair strand directions, and a depth map. This method has the advantage of reconstructing fine details of the hair more accurately compared to conventional approaches. Therefore, we extend this method by replacing the input with a sketch, aiming to reproduce fine and diverse hairstyles that were difficult to achieve with previous sketch-based methods. |
