Furniture arrangement simulation system using 360 degree photograph-based VR

In recent years, the use of VR for property viewings has been increasing, and particularly, VR-based furniture arrangement simulation systems are effective tools for verifying whether purchased furniture or existing household appliances will fit within a space before making a purchase. This study proposes a system that allows users to simulate furniture placement while considering obstacles from multiple perspectives using 360 degree photograph-based VR. In the proposed system, omnidirectional images taken from multiple locations are used to create a virtual space of the property on the screen of a mobile device, enabling users to interactively arrange virtual furniture from multiple viewpoints. |
