This paper introduces a 59.3-Mpixel 60 fps back-illuminated stacked CMOS image sensor for immersive content production. To ensure high-speed and low-power readout, our sensor features a six-fold column parallel ADC with a hybrid counter. Additionally, a multi-directional phase detection function is incorporated by stacking a 2×1 on-chip lens and metal shield. The sensor achieves full-frame readout under 2.5 W with 2.56 e-rms noise. |
