Domain-wall (DW) motion type spin-memristors are attractive candidates for artificial synapse elements in analog neuromorphic devices due to their conductance response and nonvolatility. Such features provide substantial potential for implementing low-power-consumption artificial intelligence systems. We employed Ar-ion etching to fabricate two distinct fixed magnetic parts with opposing magnetization directions, along with a DW motion part, from a continuous synthetic antiferromagnetic multi-layer stack. Consequently, single DW formation was achieved through a simple magnetic field operation, together with current-induced DW motion. These findings highlight the potential of DW motion type spin-memristors to simplify the fabrication process for practical applications. |
