Local 5G is a promising technology for providing wireless communication services within limited areas. Accurate evaluation of radio wave propagation from base stations is essential for designing effective communication environments; however, such evaluation is challenging in urban areas with many obstacles, particularly for indoor environments served by outdoor base stations. In this paper, radio waves penetrating indoors from an outdoor local 5G base station are observed, and the effects of indoor structures on their propagation characteristics are evaluated. In addition, the spatial distribution of the penetrating radio waves within the indoor environment is analyzed. |
