This study aims to systematically clarify the frequency characteristics of tactile vibrations generated when fingertips scan object surfaces. To reproduce object roughness and hardness through vibration, vibration data at 18 kHz was acquired using an accelerometer on 3D-printed specimens with varying surface periodicity and on gel materials with different hardness levels. Under conditions involving surface irregularities, periodic components appeared in the fingertip vibrations, with peak frequencies varying according to the difference in surface irregularity periodicity. Conversely, differences in material hardness did not significantly affect peak frequency, but were primarily reflected in peak intensity. These results suggest that surface irregularities primarily determine the frequency characteristics, while material hardness primarily governs the vibration intensity. |
