Glitch art is an artistic practice that reinterprets system errors and noise as aesthetic expressions. However, modern video codecs are highly complex and black-boxed, making intuitive intervention by artists difficult. In this study, to enable exploratory creation in glitch art, we propose "GCNE," a system that presents the internal structures of video codecs as visual modules, allowing users to construct unique processing flows. By implementing compression techniques such as DCT and motion compensation as independent nodes and utilizing GPU acceleration via CUDA, the system can reflect parameter changes in the video in real time. This supports artists in structurally intervening in codec algorithms and exploring new visual expressions. |
